Tonantzin Gamboa

Tonantzin Gamboa, a proud Chicagoan, brings more than 20 years of experience in youth development, community engagement, and program leadership. Her commitment to serving young people and families is deeply rooted in her Chicago upbringing and inspired by her parents, whose community activism and dedication to service shaped the values that guide her work today.

Throughout her career with Enlace Chicago, Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago, and other community and education organizations, Tonantzin has led youth programs, strengthened family engagement, developed community partnerships, managed grant-funded initiatives, and built systems that improve program quality and impact. She has also partnered with Chicago Public Schools, universities, City Colleges, and community organizations to expand opportunities for youth and families.

Passionate about social-emotional learning, trauma-informed practice, and culturally responsive evaluation, Tonantzin is a data-informed leader who believes young people thrive when they are seen, supported, and empowered. Her approach centers community voice, relationships, and data to create meaningful and sustainable outcomes for youth and families.

Her work reflects a lifelong commitment to youth development, equity, service, and building stronger, more connected Chicago communities.
