The Carrera de las Madres was created to honor these women in a way that reflects who we are as a community. This event invites madres, abuelitas, daughters, sons, and everyone in between to come together in a shared experience of movement and celebration. Walking or running side by side becomes a symbol, honoring the paths our mothers walked before us, and committing to healthier futures for the generations to come.

  • Packet pick-up dates will be announced in April

    Route Subject to Change

As we prepare for the 2026 La Carrera de las Madres 5K, we want to share important information regarding temporary street closures needed to ensure a safe and successful event.

With more than 2,500 runners and families expected, several streets along the race route will be closed for a short period of time on race morning. We kindly ask that all vehicles parked along the course be moved during the posted closure times. Any vehicles left in restricted areas may be towed at the owner’s expense.

For specific details on the affected streets and closure times, please refer to the race map and street list here:

We also invite neighbors, families, and friends to come outside and support our runners. Your cheers, music, and smiles help make this a true community celebration. After the race, stay and enjoy the post-race activities as we honor the madres who inspire us every day.

Thank you for your cooperation and for welcoming La Carrera de las Madres to the neighborhood. We look forward to celebrating with you!
